# Customer with an RFI pending

> Find the information requests waiting on your customers, then send your customer a link to answer directly, or collect the answers and submit them yourself.

An information request (RFI) is MoonPay Enterprise asking for more detail about one of your customers: questions, documents, or a new selfie check. You choose who answers: your customer, through a hosted page, or your team, from the dashboard.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Some RFIs move the customer back to `IdentificationRequired`, which pauses them: funds sent to an active Autoramp are held until the RFI is resolved. Answer an RFI on a live customer first. A transaction held in **Reviewing Funds** can be waiting on a `source_of_funds` RFI. See [Transaction in Reviewing Funds](https://dev.enterprise.moonpay.com/reviewing-funds.md).

### 1. Find pending RFIs

Open **Compliance** > **RFIs**: every customer with an open request, how many requests each one has, and the age of the oldest. The status column separates what you owe a response on from what is already back with MoonPay Enterprise.

### 2. Read the request

Click the customer's name. **Questions · Round 1** lists what was asked, with a **Needs action** badge while a response is outstanding. Required questions carry an asterisk, and each answer box matches the question type: free text, or Yes/No with an optional details field.

### 3. Choose who answers

**Your customer answers**

Click **Copy customer link** and send the link to your customer. It opens a hosted page where they read the questions, see the transactions the request is about, upload the requested documents and submit. Their answers land on the same RFI, which then shows **Submitted** in your dashboard.

The hosted page carries MoonPay Enterprise branding. To show it in your own brand, contact your MoonPay Enterprise team.

**Your team answers**

Click **Copy the questions to share to this customer**, collect the answers and documents from your customer, then fill them in on the card.

**Submit response** stays disabled until every required question has an answer. When documents were requested, the card also shows a file upload, and submitting is blocked until at least one file is uploaded.

After submitting, the card turns read-only: a **Submitted** badge, your answers echoed under each question, a Responded timestamp, and **Copy Q\&A** for the whole exchange. The customer's row drops its needs-action badge.

> [!NOTE]
>
> A follow-up round arrives as a new **Questions · Round 2** card on the same RFI, and the customer's row goes back to needs action. Answer it the same way, or send the customer link again.

### 4. Liveness requests

A liveness RFI asks your customer to redo their selfie check. It has no questions and no hosted page: click **Copy the verification link** and send it to your customer. If the card says the link is not ready yet, check back shortly. The request closes once MoonPay Enterprise reviews the result.

## After you submit

| RFI status | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| `waiting_on_response` | A response is owed, either the first one or a follow-up round | Answer the latest round |
| `needs_review` | The response is with MoonPay Enterprise | Nothing. There is no need to confirm in Slack or by email |
| `closed` | MoonPay Enterprise resolved the RFI | Read the [customer status](https://dev.enterprise.moonpay.com/customer-status.md) to see the outcome |

A `closed` RFI says MoonPay Enterprise is done with it, not whether the response passed. The customer status and the transaction status show the result.

## Do it over the API

RFIs don't emit webhooks. Poll `GET /api/rfis` for new requests, and see [Information Requests (RFIs)](https://dev.enterprise.moonpay.com/rfi.md) for reading rounds, uploading documents and submitting a response.
